Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What makeup brand do you use?

I am not exclusive to one brand. If I find a product that is excellent quality, performs well and is nice to use, I will add it to my kit.

There are some brands I avoid as they test on animals and it’s important to me that the products I use are cruelty free. Some of my favourite brands include Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass & Westman Atelier . I take great pride in maintaining a clean, hygienic and up-to-date kit.

How long will it take for you to do my/our make up?

It all depends on how many faces I am making up and what time your party needs to leave. As a general rule, I like to allow an hour per face. This ensures that the process isn’t rushed and is enjoyable for all involved. It doesn’t always take this long but I believe it’s prudent to allow more time than less.

Is a trial absolutely necessary?

In my 20 years of making brides beautiful, I’ve never had a bride feel less than perfect on her day.

The reason we get it so right on ‘the’ day, is because we’ve taken the time beforehand to arrange a trial. In doing so, we have the opportunity to discuss what makeup looks you like, as well as the ones you don’t, how much makeup you are comfortable wearing, your skin type, what your dress is like as well as some basic skin care suggestions in the lead up to your wedding.

At the trial, we go through the full application and tweak whatever you feel necessary until your perfect look has been achieved.  It’s always a great idea to try and time the trial with an event: your hens, a birthday party, a night out etc so you have the opportunity to wear the makeup for a length of time to experience the longevity of it. Having done a trial ensures your peace of mind so that you can relax and enjoy being taken care of on your wedding day.

What if I live interstate or internationally?

Many of my brides come from interstate or overseas and choose to have their weddings in Australia as a destination wedding, elopement or simply just coming home. Obviously in this instance a trial would is not always possible. If this is the case, I allow a little more time with you on your wedding day to ensure we create the perfect look. We can liaise via email and phone or even Zoom to discuss the things that we would ordinarily cover in the trial.

How much do you charge?

Please refer to my Services & Pricing page for these details. My rates are based on the use of high-quality, luxury products, experience and professional skill that has evolved over 20 years in the industry.
